Srijita DasGupta Bishop, Esq.
FOUNDER & MANAGING ATTORNEY
Srijita DasGupta Bishop, Esq. is an attorney and founder of Brentwood Counsel PLLC, where she advises individuals and families on protecting what they have built, preserving their legacy, and planning confidently for the future through thoughtful estate planning. For Srijita, trust and estate law is more than a profession. It is a calling. She is passionate about helping families navigate life’s most important transitions and creating plans that protect the people, values, and legacies that matter most.
Srijita earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, one of the nation’s premier law schools, where she developed a foundation in rigorous legal analysis and strategic client advocacy.
Before practicing law, Srijita built a career in finance with Fortune 500 companies, including Citigroup and Wells Fargo, where she rose to Executive Director and managed complex, multi-million-dollar commercial finance transactions. This experience provides her with a unique perspective on financial decision-making, risk management, and the importance of proactive planning.
Committed to service and giving back, Srijita established the DasGupta Bishop Scholarship at Marshall University which reflects her gratitude for the merit-based full-ride Yeager Scholarship she received at Marshall University, which provided her with a transformative educational experience and the opportunity to study abroad at Oxford.
Srijita serves as President of the Brentwood Circle of MomCode, where she leads volunteers, oversees community initiatives, and creates opportunities for meaningful service and connection. Passionate about hands-on charitable service, she actively volunteers in initiatives benefiting families and communities locally and around the world, including cancer patients, foster care, food insecurity, access to clean water, education, and humanitarian support.
Srijita lives in Brentwood, TN with her family and is actively engaged in the community. Raised in Nashville, she graduated from Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School and has deep roots in Middle Tennessee. As a wife, mother, and stepmother, she understands firsthand the importance of planning for and protecting the people who matter most.
Outside of her legal practice and community involvement, Srijita enjoys travel and language learning. She has visited 44 countries across 6 continents and speaks 5 languages.
